Preschool is messy for a reason.

We are ramping up for the school year. Teachers are busy making plans, collaborating, and preparing. Our hallway bulletin board is up, and I am excited about the message we are portraying. What looks like a laundry nightmare to us, can actually mean much more. Kids need exploration, they need freedom to test boundaries, and they need opportunities to spill!

We are a play-based preschool because we believe that a child's first job is play. Through interactions with peers, playing pretend, and exploring their world, they will learn patience, problem-solving skills, cause-and-effect, and responsibility. These core skills translate into being able to tackle a hard math problem later on, having patience to read for understanding, and work as a valuable team member on a group project.

I have started this blog as a way to highlight great things that are happening at Good News Preschool. I hope you will subscribe and follow our learning adventures throughout the year!
