Botany

Our September science theme is Botany. We've been talking about the parts of a plant, what plants need to grow, and how there are hundreds of thousands of different kinds of plants that God has put on our Earth. Our preschool garden is almost ready, and we will soon be putting our new knowledge to work as we start planting, watering, and caring for the plants. Thank you to our volunteers who are helping to make this happen! We are still accepting all donations of watering cans, garden tools, and seeds/plants to get our project going.

Inside of the school Mrs. Wendy's class is experimenting with lima beans. They have each "planted" their bean in a baggie with a wet towel and are very excited to watch how the bean will sprout. Mrs. Roxanne's class learned how water travels up a plant's stems by using colored water to turn a white carnation a different color. Learning about plants is so much fun!
