Learning at our own pace

Mrs. Roxanne uses many different ways to reach learners in her room. Folder games are one of those ways. Mrs. Roxanne introduces each folder game to the whole class so that they will know how to do them, and then she sits nearby as they choose their skill and work through it. One student may be working on counting, while another is working on identifying letters of the alphabet, and yet another is practicing writing. The teacher is always close by to check their work and help them across any stumbling blocks. The children are not only learning but feeling a sense of independence as they are in charge of picking what they want to work on.
