Our sweet Mrs. Carole makes it her mission to help her students use all of their senses to learn about the world around them. You will often see special "tastings" in her room where she exposes the children to different fruits or vegetables, which are usually coordinated with the color or theme they are studying. She recently took them to the garden to see that despite the cold winter, our broccoli plants thrived. Pulling the broccoli out in its entirety allowed the students to see the plant from roots to flower. The children were fascinated to see how this vegetable, that occasionally shows up on their dinner plate, actually grows. We are so thankful for our garden which gives us such cool learning opportunities!
