Strength

I'm not kidding when I tell people that I work with the most amazing staff. I want to take a moment to simply praise the women who work at Good News Preschool. Preschool staff are certainly not compensated financially anywhere near what they are worth, so some might ask why we do it. Well, for each of us here, we feel a calling to work at this place. It is a ministry for all of us. The smiles these children bring us, the growth that we help foster, and the joy that we feel by being in this environment is all worth it.

We are also a support group among ourselves. Each morning we gather in prayer to lift up the students and each other to God. And we've witnessed God helping us in so many ways this school year. The trials our staff has endured this year include loss of family members, scary bouts with personal illness, taking care of very sick loved ones, surgeries, personal stress, and more. Most recently, one of our amazing teacher aides Mrs. Kim had an emergency surgery which was followed by a diagnosis of colon cancer. She had to take some time off, but she is easing back into work and we are all astounded by her strength and her faith. If you see Mrs. Kim, please take a moment to wish her well as she faces her cancer battle.

These Good News Preschool teachers truly are a wonder and I am thankful every day for them!
